Beautiful Mess

Didn't manage to update much on this month, due to the hectic life and of course, procrastination - my middle name.

It's time to say hello to March, yes, can't wait for it because I'm looking forward for summer holiday. In dire a getaway, you have no idea how much I loathe to stay in my room alone.

Sometime, being a foreigner in other countries can really cost you few buckets of tears and mentally challenges. Things change, yes, it seems to be. People are trying to adapt, it seems to be too. Can't run, because at the end we will be back to the same point, simply because the Earth is in spherical shape.

I should get few books to keep my mind free from thinking unnecessary stuffs.

People say Patrick The Starfish is dumb. No, for me, Patrick is just too naive that we don't even believe this kind of people do exist in the world. And if and only if everyone can be as naive as Patrick, I guess the world will be in a beautiful mess.

How I spent my CNY eve in India

Guess the title said it all, and finally, here comes the post of the my very first reunion lunch in India. Well, I think I'm the only who still blog about CNY because blogging on January is too mainstream lol.

Kie, back to topic:

Nicholas was the one who organized this reunion dinner, he is currently doing his first year of Master and can you imagine how many CNY he has spent in India since first year of dentistry? While most of the seniors had gone back to M'sia because internship (final year of BDS) is supposed to have fun :DD

We headed to Harrisons Hotel for Chinese cuisine, Nicholas reversed a table in Dynasty Restaurant which located in this hotel.

You know, since it was a CNY reunion lunch so obviously the dishes we ordered were kinda typical type of chinese food. Too bad that I only managed to snap few pictures and being too busy eating, forgive me that I don't feel like giving any feedback about the dishes - yes, I'm being lazy hees.

I always have an issue that my group picture during outing will not be that nice, and somehow some random people will just appear in it for no reason - take a look at the group picture again, you will know what I mean.

Right after lunch, we girls were craving for dessert so they suggested to go for ice cream feast at The Cream & Fudge Factory. Apparently, it is a hot spot for ~~gossiping~~ girls' talk and dating. And do you know, there's The Cream & Fudge Factory back in M'sia too?

Euro House @ Jalan Hussien, Ipoh

Another post about how I spent my winter break back to m'sia. I'm trying my very best to clear all the post debts, oh god.

Kie, so I went to meet my darling - Yunn on the very next day I was back to Ipoh. To be frank, I have no idea where to hang out in my hometown because there will be atleast one whole new hot spot to hang out when I'm back. Then, we decided to go for Euro House which recommended by my brother and friends too.

The selling point of Euro House is, it is place to dine-in, for gathering and even suitable for couple to go for a date. It is basically to be designed to make the customers to feel homie.

Furthermore, it provides XBox 360 for customers to play, and of course you must be lucky enough to get the golden opportunity since we know some people are very good in seizing on free stuff. But that's not all, good things are on the way, which I will talk about it later (:

We both ordered 2 main course and 1664 Blanc (which is highly recommended by the waiter -___-) :

Swiss Pork Burger with Onion Rings

I personally more into Swiss Pork Burger, the patty was so juicy and tender. I'm not exaggerating but every bite was a surprise and the onion rings were crispy enough which made me hardly to stop eating it. Not that smoked salmon spaghetti wasn't good, it was above average too but yet it wasn't the best I've tasted so far. What I can say is, the portion of the smoked salmon was satisfying.

About 1664 Blanc, it was a disaster! Since both of us are teetotaler, so the waiter suggested us to have 1664 Blanc, he said the taste wasn't as hardly acceptable as other beer and usually female will go for it. And guess what, we both took a sip and we were like "this is worst beverage I ever have in my life" lol.

Happy "ROAR" Year

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!! Although I didn't make this post on the exact first day of CNY, but still I wish you all have a good year ahead and have heaps of fun ❤

This year is quite a challenging year for me, as in emotional challenging because it is the very first year I'm not able to make it back home to celebrate CNY with my family and love ones. To be frank, it was real sentimental moment for me to see all the pictures about CNY, Facebook statuses about CNY, tweets about CNY and even foursquare on granny's/aunt's/any-relative-you-had-visited-'s houses.

Done whining, I did had fun on CNY eve as we branch of m'sians went out to have a simple reunion lunch. Yes, this is my upcoming post so stay tuned.

Pongal Celebration in India

Celebrated Pongal Festival on last Friday in my uni. For them (as in South Indians), Ponggal is even more happening than D'wali. What's so great about Pongal? It is Harvest Festival, as the major incomes in South India are about agriculture.

So, let's see how my uni transformed into not-so-typical-type of village:

Supposedly we should stay until 5-ish evening, which included wasting about an hour in the convention hall for some dull speech bla bla bla, the boring tamil debate competition (of course it's boring, I couldn't understand at all) and performances by students from different courses.

Guys, you just have no idea how tough is to walk around when I dolled up in saree and pair of killer heels. The weather was so hot, the sun was literally burning my skin. Enough of the excuses, I was plain lazy and thank god I got Friday and Saturday off from uni *throw confetti* so why waste time but not have more beauty sleep instead :P

Things to do before I die

I don't care how long it takes to make my lists come true, but they must be done before I die.

As I post it here, I hope if some days I've lose faith, pretty please remind me that I still have dream(s) to go on with.

I admit that I'm being sentimental at this moment, no idea why but I just want something to motivate me to move one. So, here there're:

Euro Deli @ Damansara Kim

Another pending post about how I spent my winter break in M'sia. As the title shown, I'm going to blog about dinning experience in Euro Deli @ Damansara Kim.

Watched a video about "THE MATTERHORN" which I will explain what is it later on. Seriously, it really gave me jaw-dropping moment so I asked boyfie to tag me along and give it a try. We went there with 2 of his high school buddies - Alden and Yi Shin whom had been visiting this restaurant for few times.

As aforementioned, all I wanted to eat is "THE MATTERHORN". The Matterhorn is known as the Biggest Baddest Burger in M'sia, sound pretty cool huhh? It is an enormous burger!! It consists of atleast 200g of lettuces and pickles, more than 300g of tomatoes, 11 slices of cheese (this is crazy), 150g of burger bread and.. tadddaaaa 1.5kg of pork patty!!

Well, it's just a burger which weighted almost 3kg.. Wait, what? Yes, this is madness.

For those who doesn't know anything about it, Euro Deli's signature Swiss-German specialities are freshly produced in their factory. It is also a store selling cold cuts, cheeses, a variety of salads within its restaurant. There're over 100 product varieties of mouth-watering hams, sausages and processed meats.

Ohya, not to forget to mention there's "The Matterhorn Challenge" for those who has been starve for a year or could easily settle a cow to join. If you think you're able to finish The Matterhorn within 45 minutes by your own, you will be awarded with RM100 and of course, the meal will be free (:

We don't know that we should pre-book a day before we came. WHY?! Actually if you forgot or, if you don't even know you have to pre-book it then you can spread an hour waiting for the chef to prepare. Since we don't have time to wait for an hour, hence I can't meet my darling on that day.

Never mind, I'd moved on lol. There're so many yummilicious food waiting impatiently to enter my stomach.

Frankly speaking, the bun was so fluffy and their unsalted butter tasted so good! Maybe I'm a daily products freak but never underestimate those ordinary looking buns.

Thumb up for this dish, it was recommended by the friendly waiter and he chosen 2 grilled sausages and 1 boiled sausages for us. I can't remember their names but I can recall how their tastes like. Btw, the mashed potato was being a bonus for this dish. Worth to try (:

It was my favourite of the day! Seriously, the apple mousse did play a good role. I never thought of having apple mousse in macaroni can be so delicious. Kinda magical, no? The portion was just nice, bacon and hams going well with cream and cheese too.

Omg, I'm hungry. I'm so gonna to pay my second visit to ED just for Aelpher Macaroni and of course, the must-eat Matterhorn gahh.

Last Christmas

I give you my heart but the very next day, you still keeping it larh hees.

In year 2010, we celebrated our Christmas Eve in i-City and did exactly nothing but just like an ordinary weekend to watch movie on Christmas Day itself.

This year (well, I mean year 2011), boyfie came to Ipoh to spend some quality time with me. Since we're getting older *cough*, I mean mature, we just did something that we can't always do together - Went For A Proper Date ♥

Right after dinner at my place, we went to Häagen-Dazs before movie started:

Off to movie and that was the schedule of our Christmas Eve, btw, we had our 25th December 12am sharp moment in the car while on the way back to my home.

On Christmas day itself, we both got up late as usual lol. I suggested to have Korean Barbecue as brunch because I had been craving for it before I even touched down in the airport.

Boyfie and I chose to have our brunch in the public dinning hall, yes, it was Christmas and Christmas is all about being merrily so why hide ourselves in the closing area.

It was boyfie's first time to have Korean Barbeque, hence I was the one to choose the dishes. The best thing about Korean Barbecue is their very own recipe to marinate the meats, furthermore it will be the best dish to rate the restaurant too.

It was my first time to visit Daorea thou, so to make it safe I ordered marinated sliced pork, marinated lamb and dukbokgi (spicy chicken with rice cake).

I was in love with salad right after taking 1 bite of it, utterly mesmerized by the salad sauce which I never tasted before! Ohya, about the seaweed soup I thought it will be something about MSG and more MSG but somehow it tasted good.

They provide free ginseng tea too, you could also ask for warm/cold water if you dislike ginseng. No worry, F.O.C too.

Overall, it was a satisfying meal to both of us. But I personally prefer Mu Jin Jang which I went with my F.I.S gang. Rice cake in Mu Jin Jang is way awesome than Daorea and not forget about the kimchi soup which got everyone hardly to resist. Still, I like those banchan provided by Mu Jin Jang.

Not to say that Daorea isn't a good restaurant, their salad is the best I could ever have but when it comes to Korean Barbecue then of course talking about the utmost authentic Korean cuisine.

Btw, the waiters are friendly enough although they can't speak english. To avoid for mis-ordering, I suggest you guys better point out the dishes you want.

Wish you were here

Reached you-know-where-am-I-studying-right-now yesterday, started to feel a lil drowsy once I touched down. Thought it was nothing but long journey caused it to happen. Then, everything seems wrong after I took some snack in my room.

My throat was literally burning, but still I was kinda fine until I cooked instant porridge. I took few spoons of it and I started to feel nausea. Yes, I wasn't able to finish it. And I felt ultimately cold for nothing. Off to bed around 11-ish. Kept waking up to seek for more tissues papers and drinking water.

Finally, I felt asleep at 5-ish in the morning until Chelsey came and knocked my room door. At that moment I know, I'm sick :(

I'm hungry. By staring all the instant noodles and cookies in my room, it made me feel even worst. I can't eat them, none of them. I'm starving, I wish you were here to be with me.

2012 ain't the end of the world

Finally, year 2011 is over, it was one of my most hatred year? Anywhere, it's definitely not in the list of my favoutite year. Too many things happened in 2011 which I don't wish to remember at all (auto-filtering in progressing).

Neway, I wish year 2012 will treat me better, much better. I'm feeling so hesitate to pack my luggage, maybe I'm being real coward to face the truth that I'll be back to the place I don't wish to be named either.

Here's what I did in year 2011:

Got my first part time job and the boss is the bitch of the year
Attended F.I.S Prom Night
Bought myself the very first DSLR by my own saving for god sake
I'm officially a young lady, 21years old to be exacted
Went to Penang with boyfie as the last trip before we could meet again
Sent boyfie off to Liverpool study; our LDR is begun
Got myself a second part time job in end of March, they're awesome; here's the farewell they prepared for me
Left M'sia to further study dentistry in you-know-I-hate-that country
My very first laptop spoilt, and got myself second laptop (which I'm too lazy to blog about)
First attempt of wearing saree
Won Miss Stylish in Cultures Event
Attended boyfie's convocation on the day I reached M'sia itself

And of course, I did really spent every single precious second in M'sia althought it is just a freaking 2 weeks off from uni.

Will blog about how I spent my Christmas and New Year Eve soon.

TARC Convocation

I was back to M'sia by taking 16th December 6.30pm flight, reached on 17th December 1-ish am. Well, supposedly I will be hitting the sack right away when I reach home and properly will be in coma state until god-know-when-will-I-be-waking-up.

But then I got up pretty early because 17th was my boyfie's convocation which I've been looking forward months ago. I was quite excited because this might be the one and only chance to attend his convocation, yes, there's still a Degree in Engineering convocation held by Liverpool John Moores University on next year June which I might be stuck in India -___-

Kie, back to main point:

Last year of her teenage dream

This post is specially for Chelsey's 19th birthday, well, it is the last year of her teenage dream and sorry that I've been holding this post for too long D:

Just few days before her 19th birthday, we went to EA for some spontaneous shopping before we flied back to M'sia. But then the real plan is: we acted like nothing but accompanied Chelsey to shop around, a branch of people were actually waiting in a Western Restaurant for this birthday girl to arrive. The plan was going smoothly as what we had planned, indeed it really surprised the birthday girl.

While on the day itself, we, the chinese gang went out to have her favourite KFC as birthday lunch and of course, birthday cake is a big must on this important day. So, my M'sian indians sayang went to buy her a birthday cake meanwhile we were pretending there was no birthday cake for her :P

I bet most of you know that #taknak merokok is the slogan for anti smoking campaign in Malaysia. We see it everywhere, hear it everywhere and yet the most pathetic part is smokers are everywhere too!!

People, we all know smoking kills and it's time to spread about the cons of smoking. Well, if you don't know anything about it then here am I to tell you few smoking facts:

1. Tobacco contains nicotine which will make our body get addicted to it easily, it ain't easy to get rid of it
2. it caused various of diseases: Buerger's disease (inflammation of blood vessels), Asthma, Heart disease, and the most common one - Lung cancer
3. it caused mental depression
4. stained teeth, fingers and hair (ewwww!!)
5. wasting of money, like seriously

and of course, the list goes on and on and on..

Think twice if you want to be a smoker, because you will make people around you to suffer. Why?

Do you know: inhale secondhand smoke will increase the risk of getting breast cancer, lung cancer and respiratory tract infection. Furthermore, secondhand smoke will cause pregnant women have spontaneous abortion too. Yes, YOU ARE A MURDERER NOW!!

Frankly speaking, I could post a 1000 words essay to persuade you all to quit smoking. But then I know no matter how long I could type, that's only few words I want to say:

Just less than a month ago, my uni held I-have-no-idea-how-many-years of Cultural events, and we participated Fashion Show to represent our batch. God know how many people refused to join, quit at the very last minutes and turned out only 5 pairs and 1 narrator. But thank god, things went smooth and well, despite an anonymous stole our party poppers *we cursed him/her/them like mad*

I thought it will be another overrated movie, a cheesy and typical type of love story but, I was wrong. I like this movie because I got impressed by him, he likes her for 15 YEARS, the love isn't stopped at the night she got married.

My first Uni Fonder's Day

Done with a week of exhausted life! Yes, almost killed by theory papers and now it left practical test and viva to go *crossed finger* Well, guess I need to update myself, it's time to clean the spider web on my blog.

Celebrated Uni Fonder's Day on the 18th Novemeber, I know it was like half a month ago. Woke up early to prepare for my first time *blushing* - First time for wearing saree larh :P It's compulsory for all the ladies to dress up in traditional costumes while the gents must be in formal attires.

And of course, courtesy of Shawna who helped us to tie the saree. How awesome is the piece of cloth, right? Just by few steps and it turned out to be the (prolly) sexiest costume ever.

Hey peeps, how was your d'wali hols? Eventhough I just got 2 days off from uni but I was pretty enjoying it ~~by staying up late to complete my "How I Met Your Mother" marathon.~~ So on last Sunday, we headed out to celebrate 3 seniors' birthday together.

Lee's Restaurant

Yes, an authentic Chinese Restaurant. Cindy web-searched for it and it is highly recommended by local people and foreigners like us. I know, it might look slightly unpleasant from the appearance but trust me, it was utterly different story when we stepped in.

First dish:

chicken with egg thick soup (鸡肉蛋羹)

Two thumbs up for this thick soup, it definitely one of those best appetizers in my life, so far. The meat was so tender and juicy, with eggs in the soup was a bonus for it. It tasted so smooth and warmed up our tummy in monsoon-season-to-be-winter-soon season.

Second dish:

fried wanton (炸云吞)

Crispy popiah skin with full loads of filling inside! Squeezed the fresh lemon on the top of it, it turned to be something really different and surprised us.

Third dish:

kung pao chicken (宮保鸡)

It was my favourite of the day! Spiciness was in a perfect level, not too salty as I still can tasted the original chicken flavor. Not to forget about the sauce, I can barely resisted it, utterly delicious to eat with plain rice.

Fourth dish:

steamed mandarin fish (清蒸桂鱼)

Fish tasted so sweet, with nothing but ginger and soy sauce to steam the fish had preserved the original taste of it. Seafood lovers, you will in love with this dish for sure. Forget about the disgusting fish smell, all you get is the freshly cut ginger smell.

Fifth dish:

bitter gourd with pork and taufu (苦瓜猪肉豆腐)

I loathe bitter gourd, no comment but the madly in love the the taufu and pork, nice dish ~~except for the bitter gourd~~

Sixth dish:

egg fried rice (蛋炒饭)

It looked like an ordinary egg fried rice, still for us to get a chance to eat CHINESE fried rice? No way, I had 2 bowls of it. I just miss chinese fried rice so much.

Seventh dish:

rape kale (油菜)

No idea how to describe about veggie, you know I'm never a big fan of it. Okie, I did tried and it was quite nice thou.

Happy meal ended with chinese fried noodles which was a lil salty than I thought it could be. Ohya, fresh onions won my heart btw hees.

A date with Mehandi

Guess everyone is having their D'wali holiday from today onward. Well, I, myself only able to get 2 days off from uni. I know right, pathetic life over here lol. So who told you I can get extra hols just because I'm studying in India? None of the country on the map can beat Malaysia okie :P

We all know that D'wali is grandly celebrated by Indians each and every year, since I'm in India now so it is a MUST to make my first D'wali away from home a lil special, right?

Yes! Mehandi on my hand! Courtesy of my classmate(s), local people can really do mehandi without learning it at the first place :O It was spontaneous that my class representative suggested to do mehandi for me on Friday night, and why would I say no? :DD

Headed to T.Nagar with my Malaysian gang from Saveetha uni by renting 2 cars. We were kinda excited about it, just because we were craving for a proper meal. You have no idea how happy we were when we knew that they will be serving us with MALAYSIAN CUISINE - nothing taste better than home's okie.

Since it was our first time to meet up with branch of freshmen from Malaysia, MSAI committees had prepared ice breaking session for us to break the gaps between us. Well, nothing much to elaborate about and to be frank, ice breaking session was just in a so-so level.

Supposedly, we should go for main course and dessert should be served right after it but unfortunately, we all chose to go for pudding while others were queuing up for their meal course. The caramel was just like the icing for the cupcake because it made pudding tasted superb and just by looking at this picture, my stomach is gurgling.

Remember that I did told you all I have good news to share? Yes, I got my brand new laptop all the way from Malaysia, like FINALLY!! :DD

Been live without laptop for 2 months plus but thank god I'm still having my iPad with me. And of course, I prefer laptop than iPad - blog, watch youtube, and ~~stalk~~ update myself with friends. I'll blog about my new baby soon, kie? (:

Been here since end of Jun, time flies that now it's already mid of October :O We got our scrubs on last Friday and we were quite excited about it, simply because I loathe wearing Punjabi suits to class.

Look, how many of us were roaming along the corridor -___- Principal, why you no send technician to repair the damn retarded aircond?! It was around 40 degree celsius inside the lecturer hall, I kid you not. We were all sweating and writing the notes at the same time, seriously, it was so hard to concentrate on what the lecturer was teaching when our brains were lacking of oxygen to function.

So, please be thankful that your uni/college provides you a way awesome lecturer hall to attend classes (:

A day of being a real Chinese

A proper post, like finally! Just done with my first terminal, shall not talk about it anymore.

Neway, yesterday four of us - Chelsey, Kentrick, Joshua and I went to hunt for chinese food! (: some sort of taking-a-break-from-hectic-life-as-dental-student. All I can say is, I had great time to spend with them, they did cheered me up although that day itself wasn't a real good happy saturday for me :')

Mad happy that we got to dine in at a restaurant to remind us we're still a Chinese. Despite we're having Indian cuisine for everyday but nothing could even excited our taste buds like how Chinese cuisine can do!

Surprisingly, we were the only chinese gang in the restaurant! And guess what, we were having a tough time while ordering food, they altered the name that we could hardly recognise what was it actually. So imagine that, you were in a chinese restaurant and being the only chinese in the restaurant too - GOOSE BUMPS!

and I have no idea why the chef put tomatoes in it

It tasted nice, seriously! Each of us couldn't resist its crunchy popiah skin and freshly juicy fillings. Here comes the evidences of our responses:

Overall view,

It was quite disappointing that the char kueh teow tasted nothing like what we used to get in m'sia and so did the yue mein noodles too, till now we still have no idea what yue mein stands for. But, the soup was unexpectable yummy, it was thick enough and with a lil of spiciness to warm our tummy. Still, fried wantan is a-MUST-order when we come for the next visit.

Worth to be mentioned was, it was madly cheap that it only costed us 748 Rupees for a satisfying meal! The potion was big enough that 4 of us couldn't even manage to finish everything.

What would you do, if God kept on giving you lemons and at the same time, you loathe lemonade?

I do believe in karma; I do believe in fate but why am I the chosen one who need to go through all the tough paths? I wish I could be stronger and yet no matter how strong am I, there's always something trying to bring me down, asking me to give up. Yes, maybe they wish I could roll myself up with a blanket and start brain-washing myself that I'm a loser?

Guess what, my laptop spoilt. Yes, motherboard is fully damaged - well, that was what the technician told me. You have to know, after been through so many troubles in India, I don't really trust on the locals. So, imagine that, how to survive without a laptop? Don't you think I can just pretend nothing gonna to be happened eventhough I'm not able to skype with my family and boyfie? No, I miss them!

Starting from my batch onward, the minimum attendances we should get to proceed the examination receipt to sit for final will be changing to 90% from 80%. Seniors are used to take extra 1 week off to stay back in M'sia but I guess I'm not able to do so.

Imagine that, each year can only go back 3 times or less, and each time only 2 weeks. How many times I have to spend with my family and boyfie? 5 years of living in the hell, I'm a walking dead body with no soul.

This is crazy. Too much for me, I'm starting to loathe this university.

Bang, milo ais satu!

Thank god tomorrow's Independence Day in India. It's like a gift from heaven whenever I know I get extra rest day besides Sunday :D

Yesterday, we went to T.Nagar for furniture hunting and it was mad crowded, can't believe that we actually walked a long distance. Hence, as a reward to ourselves, we decided to go for this restaurant:

NASI KANDAR PELITA

No idea why they addressed it as Malaysian Fast Food Restaurant, but if you have good eyesight then I bet you will see this - Branches All over Malaysia. It's the authentic Malaysian mamak all the way from Tanah Air Tumpah Darahku, I know, so patrotic right.

Mad happy that we got into this restaurant, the menu is written in Malay omg! Obviously, we did ordered the utmost prefect ice to quench our thirst in Summer time. Yes, Ais Kacang was the choice of the day.

And you have no idea how long I've been craving for milo ais KAU okie - extra milo powder plus extra condensed milk! So ended up I ordered one cup for myself after having the chilling ais kacang.

Btw, did I ever mentioned that my hostel does have curfew? Lame shit, because it is strictly for girls - what kind of mindset is that? So unfair tsk tsk, all thanks to it, we didn't get the chance to enjoy the food and we had to go for tapau.

It tasted good, no joke and of course, the best is only available in M'sia. Too bad, T.Nagar is quite a distance away from my uni or else, I'll be able to have it everyday *too much lol*. Neway, it was a good day because we bumped into a bunch of M'sians.

I'd felt good to meet M'sians, it just simply made me feel homie. Well, one cup of milo ais was good enough to delight my day, my mood was extremely good after having both ais kacang and milo ais ❤

No more outing for a period I guess because I'm official broke, spending too much on shopping *cough*. The branded stuffs are much more cheaper in India, this is the one and only thing I like about -__-
